Testing solutions for respiratory pathogens, Pharmacogenetics, and more
The annual meeting of the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP) is incredibly impressive. Not only does it represent cutting-edge clinical science, but it has also grown rapidly as it cemented its reputation as one of the best conferences in this space. We still remember when AMP drew just a few hundred attendees; this year, 2,000 people are expected to participate in the meeting, to be held November 9-12 in Charlotte, NC.
AMP’s leadership in this field is one of the reasons we’re proud to be a platinum sponsor of this year’s conference. We’ll also be contributing with a workshop, here’s a little more information:
Date and time: Wednesday, November 9 at 12 p.m.
Location: Charlotte Convention Center, Room 213D
- Dr. Kevin M. McNabb from New Hanover Regional Medical Center will discuss the impact of flexible testing with Verigene® Respiratory Pathogen Flex Test (RP Flex) on testing cost and clinician ordering.
- Dr. Ted Schutzbank from St. John’s Hospital and Medical Center will describe his experience developing a quantitative assay for use on the ARIES® System, and the results of this study.
- We will also discuss the recent acquisition of Nanosphere, the value of the combined portfolios, and updates on recent FDA clearances including the ARIES® M1 System and the ARIES® Flu A/B & RSV assay.
If you can’t make it to the workshop, you can learn more about the ARIES® System and other Luminex instruments through several posters from AMP attendees.
And of course you can always stop by our booth, #1205 at the main entrance to the exhibit hall. We’ll have instruments and kits on display, including the ARIES® and ARIES® M1 Systems, the Verigene® System, NxTAG® Respiratory Pathogen Panel, and xTAG® CYP2D6 & CYP2C19 kits for PGx testing, and more. The Luminex team would be happy to discuss how our testing solutions can streamline your lab’s workflow, expand your test menu, and help you increase productivity.
