The End-User path focuses on the foundation skills and knowledge that a candidate needs to successfully maintain and use the Luminex system. This path is designed to meet the needs of the clinical diagnostics market and anyone planning to run assay kits on the system, but not intending to develop their own assays.

The Assay Developer path focuses on expanding the skills and knowledge beyond that of an end-user. This path provides the skills needed to develop and troubleshoot nucleic acid and/or protein assays on the Luminex system. Trainees may also choose to attend additional in-depth training on their own assays of interest or specific Luminex bead products. This path is designed to meet the needs of the researcher and anyone planning to develop assays using Luminex xMAP technology.

The Technical Representative path presents partners with the skills needed to provide technical assistance on the Luminex xMAP technology. This path concentrates on assay, software, and hardware troubleshooting for the Luminex system. This path is designed to meet the needs of partners who will be providing technical and/or field support on the Luminex xMAP technology and follows the same training path as Luminex Technical Support Representatives.

>> Luminex Certified Service Provider (Luminex business partners only)
The Field Service Engineer pathway focuses on presenting the skills needed to service Luminex hardware issues commonly seen in the field. This pathway concentrates on identifying and resolving Luminex hardware problems in the field and on installation of the Luminex system. Field Service Engineer certification may be received by eligible partners and their distributors and can be renewed annually by meeting additional training requirements. This path is modeled after the training program Luminex Field Service Engineers follow.
