Don’t want to buy a full array just to study a select set of microRNAs?

Don't like the multiplex limitations of qPCR?

Want same day results with quality data?

There’s a Better Way!

With the FlexmiR® v2 assay, you can build a multiplex assay with any microRNA sequence you want - up to 50 microRNAs in a single reaction!

One kit does it all!

  • Test any miRNA Sequence *
  • No Sample Labeling
  • No Amplification
  • Only 30 Minutes of Handling
  • 1-50 Plex per Sample
  • Results in Less than 5 hours

Discover Powerful Simplicity

The FlexmiR v2 multiplex microRNA assay is an easy-to-use, highly sensitive and specific method for microRNA detection and quantitation. The assay can be performed from start to finish in 4-5 hours, with only 30 minutes of hands-on time.

Unlike other miRNA test methods, the FlexmiR v2 assay does not require sample modification such as biotinylation, dephosphorylation, fractionation, or amplification.  A combination of highly specific hybridization plus enzymatic discrimination allows for a bias-free assay using Luminex’s powerful xMAP® technology.

Improved Chemistry

This next-generation FlexmiR product remains an xMAP liquid bead array, meaning you still get faster, more reproducible results than competing planar arrays, which are limited by solid-phase kinetics. Additionally, FlexmiR v2 offers:

  • Better Specificity
  • Greater Sensitivity
  • Streamlined Workflow
  • No Filter Plate Requirement (MagPlex® Bead Based)
  • Attractive Pricing

Sensitivity

The FlexmiR v2 assay is designed to detect a minimum of 200 amols of a specific mature microRNA in a total RNA preparation, however users may observe much higher sensitivity (see below).  This level of sensitivity is achieved with no enrichment or amplification.

Specificity

By combining a step-down hybridization with an enzymatic treatment, the FlexmiR v2 assay can discriminate betwwen closely related microRNAs, even those with single base differences near their terminus (see below)**.  This specificity is not possible with most other assays.

* Mature microRNA sequences 16-35 bases in length
**Excludes single based G:U wobble
