Company Information
Radix BioSolutions develops and produces customized assay products for research and drug discovery. Headquartered in the Central Texas technology corridor, the company boasts more than 39 years of combined experience working with xMAP® technology.
Certified Developer Assay Development
Radix BioSolutions specializes in developing custom assays and custom-modified bead chemistries. Common assay formats developed at Radix include Direct and Competitive DNA Hybridization Assays, Capture Sandwich Immunoassays, Competitive Immunoassays, Serological Immunoassays, and Enzyme Activity Detection Assays. In addition, Radix BioSolutions has developed a number of alternatively functionalized microsphere products. These modified microspheres enable end users to rapidly conjugate a range of biological molecules to xMAP microspheres. Radix’s expertise in these various assay formats and conjugation techniques allow them to help their customers choose the most appropriate format for each specific project.
Custom Assay Development Process
Radix BioSolutions' assay development services are modular in design. These modules can include different coupling chemistries, reagent definition, sample matrix optimization, multiplexing optimization, as well as others. Following initial discussions with their customer, Radix scientists design a custom process focused on the specific needs and scope of the project. This modular approach provides customers with a cost effective, comprehensive and accelerated development project.

Company Information
Panomics (formerly Genospectra) is a life science tools company that develops and markets high value reagent systems that facilitate parallel quantitative biology. We commercialize novel cell-based assays that permit multiplexed and quantitative measurements of molecular events, enabling pioneering discovery in fields such as RNA interference, predictive toxicology, and secondary screening.
Products and Services
Panomics is pleased to commercialize the first-ever quantitative mRNA profiling system for the Luminex platform. With the QuantiGene™ Plex Reagent System, Panomics scientists have combined the innovative branched DNA (bDNA) technology with the Luminex xMAP® technology enabling researchers to develop and assess mRNA signatures quantitatively and cost-effectively--for any target or species, directly from any sample type including cell lysate, tissue homogenate, FFPE and whole blood. With QuantiGene Plex, there is no need for RNA purification, reverse transcription or target amplification--so the assay is simple and precise--able to detect percent differences in mRNA without the added variability associated with sample amplification and manipulation.
QuantiGene Plex is sensitive and reproducible, capable of detecting single transcript of mRNA from as few as 25,000 cells and with intra-plate and inter-plate CVs of less than 10% and 15%, respectively. And, QuantiGene Plex is flexible - mix-to-order or fixed panels may be ordered from our continually expanding catalog. We will work with you to configure panels tailored to your unique needs.

Company Information
Marligen Biosciences, Inc. develops, manufactures, and distributes products and services that accelerate scientific discoveries and their application to improved healthcare. From their headquarters in Maryland's I-270 technology corridor, Marligen serves thousands of leading research institutions in over 30 countries worldwide. Marligen is a leader in the development of cutting edge assays for the Luminex xMAP® platform including a unique approach to SNP genotyping and novel transcription factor activity assays. Marligen also offers a wide variety of products for sample handling.
Product and Services
To meet the demand by scientist to understand how biological pathways are interrelated, Marligen has developed a powerful multiplex technology for the detection and quantitation of activated transcription factors. Coupled with Luminex’s xMAP platform, Marligen’s assays can detect up to 50 transcription factor activities simultaneously. These assays are being used to dramatically accelerate studies ranging from basic research in signal transduction and proteomics to drug discovery and development applications including target validation, compound screening, toxicity testing and disease characterization. Marligen will also work with you to design and develop custom multiplex transcription factor assays to meet your research needs.
Marligen also offers xMAP technology based products and services for SNP genotyping. This product line includes kits for Y-SNP identification and mitochondrial DNA screening with applications in ancestry testing and population genetics. In addition, we offer custom development of multiplex SNP genotyping panels.
Certified Developer Assay Development
Marligen specializes in developing custom assays for nucleic acid detection. We employ several strategies for the development of multiplex genotyping assays including DNA hybridization, and allele specific primer extension. The method employed depends on the specific customer need.
