Quality Control Associate - Luminex Molecular Diagnostics (Toronto)
Position based in Toronto
JOB SUMMARY:
The position of QC Associate will involve all aspects of QC testing with primary focus on in-process and final product testing.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performing multiplex PCR bioassays for release of products or method validation
- Data analysis to determine trends and identify compliance to specifications, summarizing the results and any abnormalities.
- Investigating out-of-specification (OOS) results.
- Accurate record-keeping of tests/inspections performed.
- Reviewing and improving SOPs.
- Participating in training of new QC staff.
- All work must be performed within specific deadlines, under GMP and in accordance with corporate and method procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Knowledge of nucleic acid molecular techniques and enzyme reactions.
- Clear understanding of essential concepts of all molecular assays.
- Knowledge of equipment validation, verification and calibration.
- Clear understanding of GMP.
- Concept of quality management system
- Strong computer & writing skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- B.Sc. with minimum of 3 years laboratory experience (or equivalent) (preferably in GMP environment).
- QC/QA related certification(s) is an asset.
