Quality Control Associate- Reagent Division

Luminex, an entrepreneurial and rapidly expanding biotechnology company, has an immediate opening for an assertive self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
-
Inspect and test incoming, intermediate, and finished materials in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Report test results and prepare Certificates of Quality.

Maintain and calibrate section measuring and monitoring devices.
-
Schedule outsource testing and services.
-
Respond to environmental monitoring alerts.
-
Monitor and stock section supplies and generate purchase orders as needed.
-
Process retention samples and maintain retention program.
-
Prepare laboratory reagents.
-
Participate in test method development, stability studies, and validations.
-
Participate in change control activities.
Skills and Experience:
-
Bachelors of Science degree in a Life Sciences, Chemistry or Medical Technology field.
-
At least 1 year of experience in quality control or laboratory experience in a Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Medical Technology Field.

Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and proficiency with laboratory instrumentation, buffer preparation, pipetting, dilutions, and bioassays.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
-
Experience in an ISO-certified or FDA regulated environment an asset.
