Project Manager - Luminex Molecular Diagnostics (Toronto)
Position based in Toronto
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibilities of this position are the scheduling, tracking, coordination, and budgeting of major LMD projects.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interface directly with the Vice President of LMD, providing advice and specific recommendations regarding all aspects of program management. This position will also entail close coordination with, and mentoring of, department project coordinators.
- Enhanced efficiency of LMD projects in terms of cost and time.
- Assist the VP of LMD with the formulation of written material—to include reports, presentations, and email—related to all major projects.
- All aspects of Design Control in accordance with the FDA QSR and ISO standards are a major part of the incumbent’s daily responsibilities.
- Assist with formulation of written documents, project schedules, project budgets, meeting coordination, and presentation materials associated with all aspects of LMD-related projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- More than 5 years work experience, with 2 or more in a project management role.
- A B.Sc., M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a life-science field, with sufficient technical expertise to be able to understand and communicate regarding the scientific aspects of LMD projects.
- Must hold a certificate, degree or some other formal training in project management.
- Proficiency with MS Project and other software useful for project management.
- Experience generating and managing project budgets.
- An ability to work within, and to motivate, project teams.
