SeroMAP™ Microspheres

SeroMAP Microspheres are a special formulation of MicroPlex® Microspheres, which have been optimized to reduce non-specific binding in serology assays. Similar to MicroPlex Microspheres, these beads are carboxylated polystyrene micro-particles that have been color coded into 100 spectrally distinct sets or “regions.” Each of these regions can be quickly distinguished by an xMAP® Instrument allowing for the interrogation of up to 100 different analytes simultaneously from one single sample volume.

All microspheres are general use components for further manufacture of xMAP bioassays. SeroMAP Microspheres are available at a concentration of 12.5 million beads/mL and are only available in a 4mL vial size. Please contact Luminex to inquire about custom vial sizes.

IMPORTANT: SeroMAP microspheres are not compatible with the MAGPIX® instrument.

Specifications

SeroMAP Microspheres are provided in purified water containing 0.036% w/v ProClin® as a preservative. Product specifications are assured up to the expiration date stated on the label with proper handling and storage. The expiration date is intended to be the latest date at which the material should be used for further manufacture of a bioassay. Although continued conformance to specifications is expected following further manufacture, users must characterize and control their formulations to assure assay specific performance.

Storage

Store product upright at 2-8ºC dark. Avoid freezing. Avoid exposure to heat >40ºC for durations greater than 24 hours.

SeroMAP™ Microspheres will usually ship within 3 business days of order receipt.  However, back ordered items may have longer than normal lead times.  All SeroMAP Microsphere orders have a guaranteed minimum shelf life of 6 month from the shipment date.
