BioSource Invitrogen is a primary manufacturer of reagents for the study of extracellular and intracellular pathways. BioSource’s expertise is in the formulation of both single analyte analysis assays, cytokine ELISAs and phosphoELISAs, as well as multiplex assays for Luminex. Invitrogen, now Life Technologies, brings together expertise in flow cytometry, conjugation chemistry, immunoassay development, and manufacturing, to create a robust line of multiplex bead-based Luminex assays. The Luminex xMAP^® Technology combines the efficiencies of multiplexing up to 100 different extracellular or intracellular markers for simultaneous analysis, with similar reproducibility to ELISA methodology. Invitrogen now offers over 150 kits, encompassing markers from a broad range of species (human, mouse, rat, and non-human primate) and is actively expanding this product line. Invitrogen has pioneered one of the most comprehensive analyte panels in the industry, and now offers the complete solution by introducing the Luminex 200™ and the FLEXMAP 3D^® detection detection system.
