Asuragen, Inc. was formed from Ambion, Inc’s Molecular Diagnostic and Pharmacogenomic Service Divisions following the March 2006 sale of the Research Products Division of Ambion, Inc. to the Applied Biosystems Group (currently Life Technologies). Asuragen is a fully integrated molecular diagnostic company focused on personalized medicine and companion diagnostics, with emphasis on mRNA/miRNA applications in oncology. In addition to its diagnostic products, Asuragen utilizes its scientific expertise to provide biomarker discovery and profiling services, assay development and validation services, GLP and CLIA testing services, and its cGMP manufacturing facility for contract manufacturing clients.
