Kinase/Phosphorylated Protein

Description
Luminex® xMAP® technology is a market leader in kinase assay platforms, thanks to the sensitivity, flexibility, speed and reduction in sample volumes allowed by a microsphere-based approach.

By using xMAP technology, clinicians can detect the phospho-transferase activity of multiple different protein kinases in a single well or tube. The process uses substrate proteins, which are chemically bonded to color-coded microspheres, then mixed with non-radioactive ATP within the sample well or tube. The reaction is completed using different color-coded antibodies, followed by a biotinylated reporter antibody and a streptavidin-phycoerythrin conjugate. The Luminex 100 then identifies and quantifies each individual reaction, quickly and accurately.
