xMAP® technology-based reagents are designed for flexible and sensitive detection and quantification of bead-bound assay components. Luminex® creates addressable microsphere sets so you can assay up to 100 distinct analytes in a single tube or well, calibrated to assure consistent performance, and optimized for individual reactions. Five main types of reagents are available: Calibration Microspheres -- Microspheres of known fluorescent light intensities used to calibrate the settings for the classification and reporter channel for the Luminex 100™ System, Luminex 100™ IS Systems and Luminex HTS™ System. Control Microspheres -- Microspheres that are used to verify the calibration and optical integrity for both the classification channels and doublet discrimination channel for the Luminex 100 IS System. Development Microspheres -- Microspheres are general use components for further manufacture of xMAP bioassays for the Luminex 100 System. Multi-Analyte Microspheres -- Microspheres are general use components for further manufacture of xMAP bioassays for the Luminex 100 System, Luminex 100 IS Systems and Luminex HTS System. FlexMAP™ Microspheres -- These microspheres are internally labeled with fluorescent dyes and are pre-coupled with FlexMAP oligonucleotide sequences (anti-tags) that are optimized to be an isothermal set and to have minimum cross-reactivity for the Luminex 100 System, Luminex 100 IS Systems and Luminex HTS System. Sheath Fluid -- Luminex Sheath Fluid is intended for use as the delivery medium of the sample to the optics component of the Luminex 100 System, the Luminex 100 IS System and the Luminex HTS System. Reagents are for use with Luminex instrumentation only.
